KASB survey seeks feedback to guide positions in 2022 legislative session

KASB has put together a survey to seek input from members on a number of education issues that will likely be debated during the 2022 legislative session that starts in January.

The KASB Legislative Platform Member Feedback Survey can be accessed here. The survey seeks feedback on the Draft KASB State Resolutions for 2022 and Draft Options for KASB Legislative Committee on Controversial Issues.

The survey answers will be considered by the KASB Legislative Committee, which will put together a report that will be voted on by KASB delegates in December. The final report will guide advocacy efforts before the Kansas Legislature.

In addition, KASB will conduct two in-person advocacy meetings and two online meetings to gather further input.

The in-person meetings will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wed. Sept. 29 in Leavenworth, and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wed. Oct. 13 in Andover.

The online meetings will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Fri. Oct. 1 and from noon to 1 p.m. on Fri. Oct. 8.
