Meet Dr. Brian Jordan -  Our Executive Director

Beloit native Dr. Brian Jordan serves as the Executive Director for the Kansas Association of School Boards. In his 21 years in education, Dr. Jordan served as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent before coming to KASB.

He earned his bachelor's degree in education at Kansas State University, a master's in education administration at Emporia State University, and his doctorate in education leadership at Kansas State University, in which his dissertation focused on school funding and accreditation.  

Dr. Jordan worked with schools across Kansas to help train thousands of board members on effective leadership, planning, and operations. Districts frequently call upon him to help during transition periods, such as hiring a new superintendent or bringing on new board members. He's worked closely with the Kansas State Department of Education leaders and had a significant hand in two leadership programs within KASB — Leadership for Tomorrow and the Business Operations Leadership Development program.  

Dr. Jordan uses his passion for school finance and leadership to work daily with educators and leaders to benefit student success.

Dr. Jordan will engage in further discussions around any blog topic written about. These blogs can be shared and discussed around the board table or with the leadership team of your school district.
