About 2 1/2 years ago, Kansas embarked on an education adventure.
Under the Kansans Can School Redesign Project, schools were asked to change their operations around five specific outcomes established by the State Board of Education after a statewide listening tour in which Kansans defined a successful K-12 education.
Nearly 160 schools across Kansas have taken up the challenge and more are joining.
KASB would like school board members, teachers, students, parents and administrators to tell us your Kansans Can stories and we will share that information with our statewide membership. The stories can be about what successes and challenges you have found along the redesign journey. How have your redesign efforts helped students and how has that affected your views about education?
Please write a short story of about 300-500 words and submit photos too, if you wish, and send them to KASB Communications Editor Scott Rothschild at srothschild@kasb.org and we will include those stories in our daily KASB News Briefs email. Thank you for all you do toward helping Kansas lead the world in the success of each student.
